Day Two – Psalm 149
:4 “For the Lord delights in his people”
I sometimes forget that the Lord delights in me… Life can easily trick us into focusing on what we’re doing wrong, which then causes us to feel guilty and then avoid the Lord. But God's focus isn't on what we've done wrong. He loves us… He cares for us… He delights in us…
I feel God's delight in me when I look at all His hand created for me to enjoy sharing with Him, when I put my trust in Him to work things out in a relationship, when I wait for Him to act in His time not on my timetable, when I look in to my grandchildren's eyes and see love shining from them that is God's delight in me!
ReplyDeleteWhat does verse 6 mean? "May the praise of God be in their mouths and a double-edged sword in their hands" Is the psalmist speaking about prayer or preaching (including writing), or both? The Word of God is a sword (Hebrews 4:12).
