Day 4One - Psalm 110

:1 - "Sit in the place of honor at my right hand until I humble your enemies, making them a footstool under your feet."

There are times when God will make His loved ones do something. Then, there are other times in the Bible when God will do something for the people He loves with no questions asked. He'll just do it, plain and simple. So this verse implies the need to rest while letting the Lord do all the work. "Sit until I make them a footstool..." It's okay to let God do work (not thinking in a selfish/lazy way... but in a way that reflects and honors God's power and might.) We don't always need to be in control of everything. After all, making enemies into a footstool would probably take a lot of work. I think it can be considered praise to say, "God, you can take this one while I rest my weary bones" -- we can engage God by letting Him do His work.
