Day Seventeen - Psalm 134 (The Message)

A short Psalm to say the least so I decided to read the Message version. In verse one, it reads "Come, bless God, all you servants of God!" which I find to be an interesting statement. Maybe it's just me, but whenever I think of "blessings" or "being blessed", I think of God blessing me. But here it says for us to bless God. How in the world are we supposed to "bless" God if He already has everything? Ah, with praise, with "lifting up our hands in praise." Praise is something that God can't get from us unless we give it. This is an act that we give freely, thus making it praise... and blessing God in the process.
