Day Fourteen - Psalm 137

:4 "But how can we sing the songs of the Lord while in a pagan land?"

The Psalmist doesn't want to give a joyful song to the pagans and their land; he doesn't want them to enjoy it for whatever reason... but a part in me says, "If you sing in pagan lands, they will know the Lord." I suppose this reminds me, especially living in So Cal, to sing in a "pagan land" because there are so many people around me (in Hollywood, at work, on the street, in line at stores, etc) that need to hear a song; that need to hear what Jesus is all about. And that goes for everyone who has accepted Jesus. We are meant to be lights in dark places; we are meant to sing the songs of the Lord, no matter where we are (pagan land or not).
